Guys, is my first time building and I'm stuck. I don't know if I need to connect the ATX_12V_2X4 pin on top of the motherboard along with the 24 pin ?

All the specs in my signature.

I need fast response please !

Thanks.

No problem, might be an idea to post some pictures on how you've set it out also :) Just in case someone can pick up on something you did wrong if you do

Basically the CPU cable on the PSU will be a 4+4 I think, that is where it splits into two blocks. It may say CPU on the cable. Both blocks are 4 pins, make sure you don't do the 6+2 pin which is pcie. You want to put both blocks of the 4+4 pin cable into the CPU slot.

Ok so, for the CPU I have 3 cables . CP / U1 / CPU2 ( which one do i connect to the port on top of the mobo ?

I have mounted the GPU, now do I connect both the 8 and 6 pins connectors to it?

I have pics for everything i did below. :/ sorry for my newbie-ness :D :D

Pull the SATA cable out of that grey port and stick it into one of the SATA express group of 4.

The grey ones are run by a marvell chipset and slower than native intel ones.

Use the single 8pin connector labeled CPU2

The GFX card will need both 6pin and 8pin (6+2pin) PCI-E power cables fitted.

I have changed the SATA as you said, now when i want to give power to the HDD and SDD, can i use the same SATA cable ? since is plugged in the PSU at one end and at the other has three sata connectors, can i connect both of them with one cable ?

This is how I should connect the GPU ?

Yes, the male 6+2 pin connecter goes in the left hand 8 slot goes into the female 8 slot connector on the GPU.

Then another male 6 pin connector goes into the right hand, female connector on the GPU. Just ignore the +2 on the right hand connector, leave it hanging.

You are consulting the manuals as you go along, correct?

Yes you can use the same SATA cable for the SSD and HDD.

That SLI connector will join together to make an 8 pin, so you can use that on the 8 pin connector.

Just leave the 2 pin part hanging loose on the other gpu connector.

Ok, I have no idea which one is the male and female if im honest.. This is what I got here :D Tell me which one i need to plug and where please. (yes i do check the manuals but they are still pretty confusing )

the one on the left came in the box with the GPU and the one on the right was in the PSU box.

Which one do I use and how? :D

This is what I've done, is this correct ?

A 'male' connector represents the penis.

A 'female' connector represents the vigina.

Now ( :p ) I hope I do not have to explain how babies are made!

In the GPU photo, you are holding the correct lead. A red 6+2 male connector in front of the female 8 socket.

This is correct, and you want to... firm but gentle... place that inside.

Same with the female 6 socket next to it. Find the 6 pin male connector for it too. (it looks like it is a 4+2 male connector attached to the same leade as the 6+2)
