ok i'm a water filled area and the door is locked, one end has a 'power switch' and when you press it the door opens, however i can't get to the other side as the water has electric pumping into it.... so how do i make it across?

Was stuck on this exact part earlier myself mate!
As said above, place the barrel under the walkway that's fallen down, you can then jump the remaining two parts to the door.
