Hello everyone,

so 3 days ago I got a new mobo and cpu, everything has been running fine, playing games, all the normal stuff. I was coming off a game and once it closed, I noticed my desktop had frozen, nothing I could do so, I hard powered off. Then coming back onto my PC, I can’t get past the ROG loading screen, it just crashes, after hard powering down to allow the system to try and repair, it does the same, crashes. I’ve been through the bios and absolutely no problems.

I removed the OS drive and tried booting from a USB, still the same problem. Could this be a mobo or cpu fault?

So mouse and keyboard work in bios after when trying to install a new os. Anything that’s plugged into a USBs doesn’t work, it sends power, as mouse, keyboard, Headset stand and the headset all light up, but don’t work. Does this sound more of a mobo issue?

Update the bios on the motherboard.

Update the bios on the motherboard.
Already done when I first installed two days ago.

I’m sometimes getting my VGA light on, so I’ll remove the GPU and I do get further but still crashes. Though with the GPU in, it doesn’t always show the VGA light. So even removing the GPU the problem is still there, even though I get past one step. Every method I’ve done, still pans down to a mobo fault. Though bios works absolutely fine.

Reset the CMOS - take the battery off, wait 10 mins or so and then try again
I’ve done that, still nothing. Without the GPU I get to the windows setup screen and it crashes. With the GPU I get to the ROG logo loading screen and then crashes.

I’ve played around with my ram, still crashes, tested the ram, works fine.
