Since you persuaded me to go Intel, I am now stuck on a few things.....
the list up to now is -:
Intel Core 2 Duo E6850 "LGA775 Conroe" 3.00GHz (1333FSB) - Retail
Asus P5KC Combo Intel P35 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 & DDR3 Motherboard
Zalman CNPS8700-NT CPU Cooler (Socket 754/939/940/AM2/LGA775)
Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound (3.5g)
Crucial Ballistix Tracer 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 PC2-8500C5 1066MHz Dual Channel Kit (BL2KIT12864AL1065)

and now is the part I am stuck on....I have at the moment a HD2600xt 256mb graphics and I am now wondering do I -:
1. get a Asus ATI Radeon EAH3650/HTDI/256M HD 3650 256MB GDDR3 TV-Out/Dual DVI/HDMI
or
2. Get OCZ 4GB (2x2GB) PC2-8000C5 1000MHz ReaperX HPC Enhanced Bandwidth Edition Dual Channel DDR2 instead of the Crucial kit

I am running windows xp pro 32bit at the moment and have no plans to fork out any more cash for vista (missus would kill me)
Roughly managed to get a budget of £420 without doing that much crawling:rolleyes:

Better to have 2Gb of much faster RAM then 4Gb of slower stuff that XP cannot use completely. I have had that memory running at 1250Mhz @ stock timings
