Right...

Well to explain, I currently have a Citroen Saxo VTR... Yes, I know. I bought it when I was in between contracts back in the UK as my last car died and so I replaced it with this. It was 650quid and worked. I never intended on keeping it this long but that was about a year ago and it works (at the moment).

Now though, I need a replacement as it's starting to get a bit...well less trustworthy, and needs stuff doing. It is also too small for our family of 4 as we do trips up and down the country to the mountains etc.

My want is a B7 Audi RS4, but my RS4 fund is just getting plundered for buying a place, so I'll have to start my save again for the RS4. The thing is though, with the wedding fund as well, I reckon it will take me in to the new year as well to get the 20k I want for the Audi and I don't want another winter of driving up the mountains in a French tin can that fits nothing in.

So, I'm thinking of getting something better than I have now, that is also a bit of a giggle and bigger to do me a 9-12 months and stumbled across this:

Seems well cared for, looks nice. It's black, which is a requirement, don't ask me why... It has some power, is around the pocket money price of ~6k, has a boot and 4 doors for the kids. Oh, and will do me well up and down the mountains.

Should I? Other bizarre suggestions?

OK, valid point Macca!

That S4 is the wrong year, wrong shape and I'll get the RS4 next year, so if I try and do something "like" it, it'll only annoy me that it isn't it! If that makes any sense....

You do realise that the "wrong shape" B6 is just essentially a B7 pre-facelift yes?

And as for "wrong year" it's one hell of a lot newer than that pass-the-parcel evo ;)

I just want something pretty fun still, so I can put up with it for max 12 months as well as it fitting the family in and that. I just don't happen to like that shape Audi though, really.

Anything around 5-7k ish I'd be interested in anything that matched, open to suggestion.

Slightly biased here but if you like the look of that Evo which looks beastly but as said above, probably going to cause issues due to its age/mileage then why not take a look at an Impreza, you will get a newer/lower mieage example for that money and they are easier to live with and a bit less hardcore but still good fun to drive.

I'd rather your fiesta mate! :P I'd love your 200, but the back seats are too small for the wee ones.

Drop me an email man, I need your address. Dave was supposed to get it but he promptly forgot his name 5 seconds later.
