Alledgedly there is a program available that can unstick stuck pixels by cycling through colours. You leave it running for a few hours and it rectifies the stuck pixel.

I can't find one for the PC, only for the PSP. Anyone got one they can recommend? I've downloaded an MP4 file for the PSP but can't seem to get it to run on the PC in media player etc.

Using very reasonable pressure, as firmly as you dare rub the area where the dead pixel is. Obviously don't be too manly with it, and crack the screen. :p

After about 10 seconds of rubbing it may disappear. Worked first time I tried it. :)

I'm always worried about doing that in case I bruise the LCD. I regularly see screens where people poke them all the time and it's covered in dull areas. I'll try that as a last resort as it's not my screen but I supplied it! Glad you managed to fix yours though!

Anyway I got the MP4 file to open in Quicktime so I'll give that a go first since it's not mine.

Actually it wasn't mine, it was where I was working. Saw a dead pixel on the TV, and thought it would be a good idea to test out the idea. The numpties in the blue shirts didn't believe, and probably still don't! Even though one of them walked me to a TV they knew had a dead pixel - and spent 30 seconds searching for the dead-pixel which I told them I fixed 2 minutes earlier.:D But I know it worked. ;)

Just rub gently - and stop applying pressure when the screen changes colour. If it doesn't work, try again and apply a tiny bit more pressure.
