stuck pixel fixers

someone at uni has told me that you can get programs that blast pure colours at the screen at high rates that can fix the stuck pixels people get on their tft's

any truth in it ? if so does anybody know where one can be obtained, freeware obviously.

no its not dead... its stuck, on red

i have ablue stuck pixel which only shows against a black background... but it is slightly annoying when watching a movie on my PC
