stuck pixels - poll please

I tried 3 things and i think ive actually got it to go this time, turned the monitor on and off several times and it hasnt come back!

1) Massageing the area with a soft clothe is supposed to be the most likely solution to a stuck pixel. This didnt work for me.

2) Getting something pointy such as a PDA stylus, covering it in a soft clothe (like a glasses cleaning clothe) and applying pressure whilst turning the monitor off and on a few times. Again this didnt work though it did seem to get better.

3) This is what i think worked. Play this on fullscreen for half an hour or so and it seemed to sort everything out. http://www.jscreenfix.com/basic.php if you go to bottom of the page and launch it, then fullscreen. This may hopefully sort the pixel out.

After posting this, if my dead pixel comes back im not going to be best pleased!

Have had a total of four TFTs at home now and no dead pixels on any, although with the current two, I made a point of ordering from a source which explicitly guaranteed zero dead pixels.
 
im on my third lcd monitor, in 2 years. my first viewsonic vx2025 developed a line of dead pixels about 5 inches long running vertically, called their support desk, courier came 2 days later to pick it up and i got a brand new one as a replcement, currently on a benq fp241w (2 months old no dead or stuck pixels so far) my brother got my viewsonic and its still going well:)
