My Auntie's PC is borked again, and this time I don't know what to do with it.

She's getting 0x00000024 error and Windows XP is Blue screening. There is also a "Keyboard Failure" notice when the PC POSTS, so there's no keyboard until Windows is loaded, she tells me it's been there ever since she got the PC from her late ex-husband. So with no keyboard I can't try and boot Windows in safe mode, I can't install Windows because it seems the CDROM isn't set as second boot and because no keyboard I can't get into BIOS and make it so.

I've hit a brick wall, but I have just thought of that the keyboard is USB, would a PS2 give me keyboard control?

Well the good thing is you can still access windows.

Find the .dmp file in C:\windows\minidump that caused the BSOD and post the log back here :)

Also while you're at it run the following command "chkdsk /f" without the speech marks in command prompt :)

3rd thing would be to try different RAM or if there is more than one stick installed try using one at a time to see if this solves the problem

Trying a PS/2 might not be a bad idea either

No, I can't access Windows, when it cycles to the Windows Boot options I can't load safe mode, so it tries to load normally then blue screens with error 0x00000024, at which point all I can do is turn the PC off.
