Student editor sacked for being accurate...

I'm in my 4th year at university now, it's honestly not as bad as the media makes out, I think it's just focusing on the extreme views of a minority. Luckily most of the people I know are pretty normal!

I don't think is anywhere near as bad as say the university in the USA or Canada. I finished university 10 years ago and there there where wiffs of this kinda of thin back then. I was a disabled student but after a couple of sessions I left the disabled student society due to "militancy" and the student union was a pee take, if you didn't agree with the head of the union when it came to votes and policies you where forced to leave.

That's the problem really, the vast majority of students just want to go along, have a good time, work hard and get a degree. The type of person who tends to get involved in student politics however tend to have big views and even bigger mouths along with a platform to get their ideas out there. Students and universities as a whole I don't believe are the echo chambers people think they are, though I would advocate employing lecturers from more diverse backgrounds, not to peddle their ideas but to provide a counter balance.

But....but....LIBERAL SJWs ARE TAKING OVER UNIVERSITIES!

I heard it on a Youtube video presented by someone whose never stepped foot in one.

Thing is, I'm pretty sure most trans women for example would not claim to be biological women. Doesn't gender dysphoria revolve around the idea that someone feels like they were born into the wrong body?

Pretty sure most people in that situation want to live their lives with minimal fuss and just get on with it. It's just a minority of very vocal idiots on either side blowing things out of proportion and as a side effect, managing to annoy/alienate people who are usually pretty middle-of-the-road and rational about these issues (not to mention getting the less moderate people frothing at the mouth).
