Good on them - this is most impressive work from the lads from East Anglia Polytechnic.

I wouldn't say aircraft tbh, it was a big helium balloon.

Fair point.....they also omit the fact that acheiving orbit isnt just about altitude, its about velocity.

The fuel alone for a machine capable of that would be considerably more than £1000......
