Spotted this on my FB feed this morning

There are some rather odd reasons why they want to ban Cameron:

David Cameron has continually violated the safe-space policy by implementing changes to junior doctors’ NHS contracts

Also David Cameron has said we should vote to stay in the EU, but he is a Tory and therefore he must have lied.

There are other things to be discussed at the next SU senate meeting such as banning beef (what?) and creating a free shop for new students with stuff left behind by ex students.

I am not sure if this is a belated April Fool...

How would they be able to enforce banning the PM this if it got voted in and approved?

I would really like to see their Safe Space Policy too...

A number of farmers have also banned Cameron from their land to prevent any interference with their prize pigs.

It was entirely consensual. All they're doing there is advocating a restriction in the right of swine being able to choose their own sexual partners, and obviously the right of the pigs to choose too.

It would be safer for the world if we rounded up all the current generation of youth, exterminated them and started over.

What's wrong with that? Sounds like a good idea.

The other things though, yeah, they are bat **** crazy but meh, they are students and exploring how the world works - let them experiment I say.

At least they are active, involved and trying to change things, which is more than can be said for the rest of the useless UK population that just suck things up and moan under their breath without lifting a finger to do anything about it.

Safe space policy?

And people wonder why students in general are seen as immature and childish.

Times have changed as they don't allow free speech any more and want to ban things all the time. Going to be a great when they get into the real world... ;)

Do people actually learn anything useful at Uni or do they just immediately get turned into pathetic left wing neo liberals?

Watching him lecturing some ********** this morning at Exeter University, as he was taking questions he was saying "yes the gentleman at the back" "yes the lady on the left" etc.

I was waiting for the "NO ! I'm non binary ACTUALLY ! and futhemore by pointing at me using an inappropriate hand gesture you've also invaded my safe space."

What amused me was the outrage in the " 'so-called' democratic vote" bit

Manchester Evening News said:
The motion reads: “David Cameron and his right-wing Tory government were elected by a minority of the electorate.

Imagine their shock when they find out that ..... so was every single UK government since World War 2. Not a single post-war election has resulted in the winning side, or any side for all that, actually getting an overall majority. A couple of elections csme close ... in the 1950s and early 60's.

Considering we've just had 5 years of Tory-LD coalition, on simple numbers of voters, we might have ended up with a coaltion in every one of Blair's election wins seeing as Tory and LD combined had millions more votes than New Labour, even in the '97 labour landslide. Not that that would have been the coalition we'd have had, of course, as it took extreme circumstances to get LDs to even consider it in 2010. Almost certainly, it would have been a Labour-LD coalition. What the 1997, 2001 and 2005 governments wouldn't have been was outright Labour.

This is the way FPTP works. Unfortunately.

I can't help but look back and think that I wasn't this stupid when I was a student, but then I never really participated in many of the clubs and ignored the NUS, so..
