I have a studio 17, however I came to it yesterday and the light on the outside PSU thing was not on, so teh computer wouldnt power up. I tried a few times, and eventually contacted the company and they diagnosed a fault on the outside unit, and sent me a free replacement. This came today and when I plugged it in the plug socket the green light turned on, however when I plug the other end into the dell, it turns the green light off and it wont power on. It keeps doing this? Does anyone know the problem? Or will I have to send it back, any ideas what they will do with it? (i.e. replace or fix). As I have a lot of university work on the hard drives that I have stupidly not backed up. I am not sure if it voids the warrenty if I open it, so don't want to risk that.
