Studios/Job/Placement

Hello there,

As you might now already or not, I recently graduated from uni back in July with a degree in Animation. And at the moment Its been really difficult for me getting a job or experience in the industry that i want to get in which is games! I'm still unemployed now. However I have been sending out my CVs to loads of companies for the pat months but still no luck.

I was wondering for the over 1000 users that are online here every minute. Maybe just maybe one of yous have sort of contact to any studios or someone that work for a company that may have any positions available or a placement that you can direct me to?

Im just running out of options now and maybe this post can give me something.

Im looking for any sort of work/placement, it could be in animations, vfx/video editing, graphic designs or any office jobs etc.. I know its very difficult to find something like this but Ive always been told that "its all about connections and who you know in the industry"
I know there must be something out there that I have not look at that are available, I just need to find the right people.

I live in the Wirral, near Liverpool so I am looking for studios around or any in the north west area.
If anybody here could point me out to the direction it would much appreciated! Thank You!

First thing you should do is ditch that attitude! If your covering letters give the same feel, they'll go in the bin. Be confident, your work is good! That's half the battle right there. I've got a mate who's after work in 3d as well, not animation but just modelling, and from what he's said it's really really competitive, so he just keeps trying.

With an industry like that.... get another job in retail or similar, and just keep trying. Don't give up because a job like that's worth the ballache to get into, but don't hold your breath for walking into it anytime very soon. You'll get there in the end if you're good, but sort out some other work in the meantime.

Yeah you're right! Im just starting to feel the pressure now. Im back living at home and everybody is shouting at me in here to get a job and Im trying my best lol but yeah im looking for something else as well.
I just wanted to try something on here to see if anyone can help me out lol
