Do/did you ever read any of these magazines? If so which do you prefer?

I feel the need to subscribe to one of these but can't decide which as they both have very similar styles, help me GD!

Ta :)

people still read magazines?
Sure, I'm reading Edge right now!

Picked up a T3 the other day and found some cool stuff I wouldn't have normally found rather than poorly written reviews of every well know products. Would read again :)

Exactly this, both mags are available as digital subscriptions which is what I'm after anyway.

Yep that's why I like them, I've never felt the need to google personal underwater miniture submarines but that doesn't mean I don't like to read about it.

I've always found T3 to have a more professional approach, I get the impression their writers know what they're talking about whereas some Tech magazines go with 'big is best' approach.

I stopped buying the magazine though as I could feel my credit card twitch in my wallet every time they did a hardware comparison.

Both these magazines suck, its like tech dumbed-down and reported on 2 months after the internet found out.

They are perfect for the audience they target- gadget show viewers. The early adopters, like you say, know about all this stuff before pen hits paper in those magazines.

I got my subscription as a christmas pressie. I don't have time these days to keep my finger totally on the tech/hardware pulse so it was a nice way to make trips to the toilet even more productive :D

I read loads on my Tablet.

Anybody who says "tablet" means they ain't got an iPad. Can you even get magazines on Android?

*Tongue in cheek*

:D

Exactly...

...but they put a pretty woman on the front cover. A scantily clad woman. Thus these magazines must be good. Waste of paper/photons if you ask me.

Is that not the same for every magazine on sale though? You will always find a more extensive review/article on the internet than you would in a magazine. Doesn't mean I don't want to read them.

I can only imagine why you asked such a question when there is clearly a photo of an Android tablet a few posts up with a magazine on.

TBH For those who don't spend their lives on the internet these magazines are very useful.

I would rather have a concise monthly summary of what you need to know over missing something critical.

Having just flicked through Stuff - I thought it was 'ok' - I think I'm going to start reading these mags regularly.
