and having no real problems with gaming per se. BF2 seems to run ok, C&C 3 runs ok, COH runs ok for me
but i cant for the life of me figure this one out. My BF2142 is running stupidly slow no matter what i try. Its dropping from 60fps to 30fps
this is with an X1900 XTX and Core 2 Duo E6600 with 2gb DDR2 and then game running at 1024 x 768.

It blitzes its way through absolutely everything else, but since i cant remember, the bf2142 performance has been terrible. Ive completely un-installed and re-installed the game. Ive tryed the full patch, ive tryed tweaking with settings, but fundamentally i cant get it to play at anything like reasonable fps in vista
anybody else experience this. My mate has 2 X1900 XTXs is in crossfire, and has the same mobo and CPU. But even though Crossfire is a bit hit and miss, hes getting 100 fps maxed out at 1920 x 1200 on his Dell 2407.
and i cant even run 1024 x 768 properly. This isnt system related btw, as every other game runs fine. I turned everything i could find on C&C 3 up, but still couldnt get the fps to drop below 30
