Stupid build mistakes to avoid

puts board ontop of antistatic bag...

board is now dead.

you'd think the fact the bag looks metallic would tell them something wouldn't you


also the pwr led connector is split in two as some motherboards are designed to take a 2 pin connector with the pins next to each other and some are designed to take a 3 pin connector with a blank space in the middle of the two pins.

No, dont connect monitor, just test it starts. It may beep to say theres no monitor.

why no connect a monitor? how does he know if GPU is working?

Make sure that protective sticker at the bottom of cpu cooler heatsink base is taken off before you place the heatsink on top of the cpu otherwise it will be disaster as happened with an other op in the following thread lol, post 26:
