Okay, so I get that this is a stupid build. It's not the best time to make this build and there are far better options, but I have always wanted a MATX SLI/Xfire rig, so I making one.

Basis is a DFI LANPARTY JR 790GX-M2RS, with one of the new Athlon II X4 quads, 4gb DDR2, 2x HD4890s, an OCZ Vertex SSD + 1tb Samsung F1 HDD - all in a Silverstone Sugo (undecided which one).

They take full size ATX PSUs, so just wondering which (modular) PSU to choose? I'm really thinking about a 650w decent brand one will be fine - any ideas?

See, I think people go over the top on PSU power ratings these days. My current rig is a Q8200, 4gb DDR2, 1tb HDD and a HD4890 running on a 300w Silvertson MITX PSU - I'm not doubling everything so I think 750 is too much...

I've been looking at that board, but there is a certain charm to the AMD rig I think. I know it's not DDR3 and isn't new tech, but I think the Athlon II x4's are great little chips and this rig would give me a nice bang per buck. Also tryingt help out the underdog a little. Not bought an AMD CPU for a few years now and feel bad for them!
