Stupid displayport question

Hi guys,

I have a machine with a secondary displayport output. I want to convert this to VGA for a second display. Am I right in assuming any old Displayport > VGA adaptor will do this?

i think so. IIRC, you need an active one if you are running three screens

I just got a cheapo one (£10) for my setup and it seemed to work fine, even with 3 monitors
