So, bought this case on a well known auction site and now am trying to build it.. however, im seriously struggling to find a PSU that will fit!

From the pics here, the case is a Chyang Fun CM case:

And these measurements, the Actul hole on the backplate is 12cm by 9.5cm. With the actual distance between the screw holes is 13cm.

Please can anyone help?

There are some etailers specialising in ITX components. I obviously can't tell you there names as they are competitors. But I expect that case may well be designed for an external brick style PSU. So find one of those etailers on google and then have a browse of their power supply section.

Ive tried all 3 of those e-tailers and nothing there will fit. I thought it would be an external power brick style, but there is no hole drilled at the back for the power connection. There is only that massive hole, which has to be for an internal psu, just with very odd sizes!

I think im going to end up filling in that hole somehow, and using a power brick ;/

Does it have a carry handle? As the looks very similar to older Epox barebones, going by front.

Just you might be able to source a PSU from Epox partner site, as I guess their barebones is a rebranded box.

Happy to help. When I got rid of my LC-13 media centre case and stuck my HTPC in my old P160, I used exactly the same thing (3 of them) combined with hot glue to seal up the hole along the entire top of the case where I had a triple rad mounted on the top. Worked like a charm and no one has noticed the ghetto fix at all when they have come over :).

I'm using a ChyangFun eCube case which I'm pretty sure has the same size PSU which you need. I'm actually looking to get rid of it in favour for an external brick... why you ask? Because it is seriously L-O-U-D. Drop me a mail if you're interesed, but you have been warned :p

One of the ITX e-tailers in the UK did do the Chyang Fun for a while with the power supply. Might be worth contacting them or else Chyang themselves to see if you can find UK resellers as most seem to sell the case on its own now. :)

Would like to see OcUK getting in some Mini-ITX gear though. ;)

Lol. I had the exact same case and the exact same problem. Was broke at the time so flogged the case on ebay (for profit!) rather than find an alternative. Shame as it was a damn cute wee case.

Hmm, how loud is loud?

Ive emailed Chyang to try and get some info on the PSU, ive also tried a few Mini ITX places, so hoping to get a reply from them soon. I really want to keep this case as its perfect for me, and as mentioned above its a really nice looking case :)

Loud enough for me to want to rip it out, strap some C4 to it, and throw it in the general direction of a chav gang :p My main PC is ridiculously quiet so maybe I'm just being overly picky. Honestly though I would imagine it would be too loud for most people in a noise-sensitive area (e.g. HTPC use).

I'm thinking of replacing it with a mini-ITX DC-DC PSU and an external AC Adaptor... blissful silence then
