Are there any junctions near you which aren't laid out very well or are just downright dangerous?
I have only been driving for about 2 weeks, but I believe I am quite a safe driver and I don't speed or anything on purpose, I also like to make sure it's safe to actually go rather than just charging in with a cavalier attitude.
But the junction at the bottom of my road is just downright stupid, i've seen quite a few people have accidents there in my time. the main problem is that as I approach the junction on the way to work to turn right, as I stop at the junction and await a gap I can't see whats coming from the left AT ALL because of the cars which park immediately at the junction turning.
Earlier on I was driving to work as usual, stopped at the junction. There was a van coming up the road from the right, and I edged out so I could turn right. it's quite a busy road so I stopped for a car coming down the road. But she didn't look very happy. Van was still a way off comin up the road, but I couldn't see another way to actually leave the junction and join the road.
Was I in the wrong?
