Lent my dad my car for the day to go to pick someone up at the airport as his is in for some servicing. When returned tonight i noticed the ash tray lid in front of the gear shifter was no longer 'slowly' opening, its rather instant and flicking open fast. He said he put a lot of coins in it, it got stuck and he pulled it rather hard. The lid closes fine, flush and its really not an issue at all (heck it might even be better now imo), just wondering if it might lead to another issue like it not closing etc.. for anyone who might've had this happen, or is it just a case of the dampener piston/gear or whatever it is slowing it down breaking?. Car is an E90 06 320D SE. Cheers!
