Stupid Mistake!!

She is the one at fault - the driver is the one that will be in trouble. Doubt they'll be interested in you at all. She can try to blame you - but she made the choice to drive so she will be punished.

Still wouldn't mind knowing what road it was?

It was on Pennyfine Road coming out of Sunniside,

We swapped seats just before Old Ravensworth and got pulled over just before the round a bout at Lamesly.

Not the best road I will admit but its not narrow and visitbility was good.

Again I will say I am making no excuses, I know I did wrong and will definatly learn from this!

Well let us know either way. It was a silly thing to do and you seem scared enough but the police can't really take a lax stance on it otherwise people will take liberties.

Ignore me i thought that said she wasnt old enough :)

Good luck in court mate.

She is 19 (ready for her test on a provisional license) and I am 20 (been driving for just over a year with 1 years ncb).

Should have pulled the old switcheroo when the police were walking towards your car :p

Ah know the road. Top end at Sunniside is quiet,

You should have gone to Portobello trading estate in Washington, Is 5 mins away and is rarely covered by police.

Live and learn ey

All the best mate.

heh my mate did that when he got pulled trying his mates car. Said he was the driver and gave all the details as if he was his mate police let him off with a warning for going a bit fast lucky git wouldn't of been smiling if they asked for more proof :D

As for the op hopefully they will take it easy on you and your girlfriend. Most people have been out with a mate showing them the ropes.

You done wrong, you got caught. However, i sincerly hope you don't lose your license over it as i'm sure many here have done the same thing at one time or another, i have myself when i was younger. Just sheer bad luck mate.

makro carpark in washington as well

He will get done for allowing someone to drive his car whilst knowing she didn't have insurance or a licence, to my knowledge this can go down one of two ways, he can either admit he knew or he can say she stole the car.

Can't he pretend to ''think she had a license'' ?

I guess that the no insurance thing weighs heavier. Unlucky though, I let a couple of my mates without a license drive a couple of times in my car to practice, luckily never caught.

Shame the law there puts you at fault too, one of my mates WAS caught in his cousins car, all he got is a 300€ fine for not having a license, the cousin wasn't to blame, sometimes I'm happy to not live over there with all the insurance crap going on there.

Hope it all goes well though for ya and that you won't be punished too badly !

It's his girlfriend, nobody is going to beleive that.

She could say she told him she had, I mean come on with a ridiculous law punishing the owner of the car that he allowed someone who doesn't have a license to drive it... She WILL get the 2 fines anyhow, she can prevent her bf to lose his license...
