Really stupid question but my google-fu is weak today.
When you using things like office and what not, and you set font size (like 12 or 18) is that the font size in pixels or is it some random relative size?
Twelve points make up a pica, and six picas make an inch. That's all you need to know. Things designed for print don't tend to be relative in size. That would make doing accurate page layouts difficult.
