stupid question, but please!

i kno this mite be a stupid question, but this is the 1st time i will change from onbaord gfx to PCI-E , so can some1 tell me what to do? like wen to remove old drivers, etc
 
i'd do things in this order

remove the item from device manager.
remove any installed drivers
turn off pc
install new graphics card and plug monitor into new one
turn on pc and go straight into bios
turn off onboard graphics in the bios settings
reboot and go into windwos
install either nvidia/ati drivers and reboot again

should sort you :)
