Hey all,

I currently have on order from OC, two of these.

But the issue is they've been on pre-order for about 2 weeks and im getting impatient.

Could I achieve the same result by upgrading the pump to the EK 4.0

and then use the EK X3 Multioption res

Would this basically achieve the same result as the original item I wanted, but of course using a 400lph pump instead?

its probably a stupid question, but I like the compactness of the original item I ordered and want the other set to look essentially the same and require no extra tubing/fittings.

Cheers :)

Already ordered now but thanks for the advice. The D5's do seem to be very popular, any particular reason why?

My first proper foray into WC was with EK so I just tend to side with them as a brand.

d5 besides having a flowrate of 1200 lph also have the little dial on the pump itself that you can tune the pump from 1-5 depending on your needs. Just a versatile piece of kit

I notice there is one difference from both.. the EK 4.0 will start at full once you switch on the circuit, while the D5 need around 5 sec. to rev up ...
just an observation, similar behaviour between electric motor and combustion engine..= P
