Having decided to foray back into a spot of PC gaming for this winter (mainly CS:GO) I had to upgrade my graphics card which meant bumping my case size up from a mini ITX Lian Li to a Thermaltake Versa H15.

Problem is my current DVD/BD drive is a slim line. So (1) would I need a bay adapter to fit this in the Versa H15? And (2) is it worth having a DVD/BD drive in this day and age?

Thanks.

I wouldn't bother. If anything get an external USB case for it so you can use it should you ever need to. But Optical drives really are a thing of the past now for PC usage.
So what do people do for new builds? Do people use usb sticks to install windows nowadays? :) I guess PC games are all downloaded too?

Yup, USB for anything. Been that way for a good 10 years now :p
Heh when I built this pc 6 years ago I knew you 'could' install from usb but didn't think it was commonplace.

Shame I didn't realise this before I panic-bought the case (to fit the gfx card). I could have looked at ones without 5.25 bays!
