Stupid question

Hey, I recorded some stuff on a video camcorder I borrowed from college and I want to view the footage on my PC and edit it, but how do I?

There's a cable with it that I can plug into the camcorder and it goes into my computer. I think it's a DV cable. I can't seem to view the video though.

I believe it's plugged in correctly (?) ^

Go to your video editor and then try to use the import function.

What camera is it? Some connect by usb, some by firewire.

Also, try to import via Windows movie maker.

Start>Computer and find the camcorder there and get the files you need? Like a memory stick
