Just got my old-ish HP laptop back from repair, where I had the optical drive replaced (yeah, yeah I know I could've done it myself, but I have an extended warranty and no way am I paying out for a new drive when I could have them do it for free). Anyhoo, it had a decent TSST drive in it before and now its got a noisy and cruddy Matshita one in it. Surely it should be replaced with an equivalent model?
Where do I stand on this? Suppose it serves me right for buying high street lol.
