For some reason there was a pointless sticker over the top of the 3 PCI slots. When I peeled it back it left residue that is really hard to remove. Some bits of sticker have seeped through. I'll let the picture do the talking.

Should I just keep trying to get it removed by rubbing my finger along it? (causing f'ing cuts)

What did everyone else do who bought this board?

That will be the dirty great green Gigabyte sticker then. I was lucky and mine came off in one piece. Getting the damn thing off the sleeve of my sweatshirt after i put it aside and stuck my elbow on it though was another matter.

usually when stickers leave bits behind i use a damp cloth, but that wouldnt work to well with electricals i would think.

cant u just leave it and still get the card in?

Use some cotton buds and Isopropyl Alcohol. This will disolve the glue of the sitcker, making it easier to remove.

Isopropyl Alcohol can be bought in any chemist nice and cheap. Sold over counter in various sized bottles. Just get a small one. :)

Perfect for removing stickers and other such items. :)

(Disclaimer: DONT!!! DRINK!!! THIS!!! IT WILL KILL YOU!!)

OR - household items could do it. Got any Tape Head cleaner? This is the same stuff (just costs you a LOT more).

OR - try nail varnish remover. Or white spirit.

Just make sure you don't use too much, just soak it into the cotton bud and apply it to "soak" the sticker gunk.

Could even get WD40 to help.... just DONT spray into the case. Spray some on the cotton buds well away from the case, then try again. WD40 goes a fine job as a degreaser and can clean a lot of stuff up for you.

Once you have cleaned up, use some cotton buds to clean off any excess residue. :)
