I went to remove my USB hard drive and when I clicked it I accidentaly 'Safely Removed' one of the Internal SATA drives. Now Windows seems to want me to remove the drive to get it working again.

Any way to tell windows to start the drive again without opening my case? (or rebooting :) )

Enable/Disable the controller its attacked to. Might give windows the impression of being reconnected. (Obviously don't do this if your windows drive is on the same controller)

If it is NOT as OS HDD, go into Device Manager->right click->UNinstall, OK etc, ->Action->Scan for hardware changes->HDD will then be reinstalled...:)

Well I happened to be undre my desk and I realised that I hadn't screwed my case on so I just unplugged the SATA cable form the mobo.

Turned out to be the wrong one, lucky don't think I had much important open on that drive. Then I re-plugged the other back in and it worked.

Total design suckage there.

I never reboot my computer.
