Stupid Woman.. or Stupid People?

Whichever it was, and it could easily have been women, I don't think he was saying women in any way meant maliciously or discriminatory towards gender. He lost his composure a little.

It's a sign of the modern age that she seems more concerned about having been called a woman than being called stupid.

I thought you could say anything you want in parliament! Anyway she is stupid so what's wrong with telling the truth? Mind you he is just as stupid.
Andi.

I think the whole thing is pathetic and the usual people will use it as an excuse to dig at him just because.

He muttered something under his breath after being goaded. Instead of politicians doing their job and discussing serious issues, MPs decided it was better to film Corbyn on their phones so they can run to the speaker and act like a child in primary school telling on someone.

With everything going on at the moment MP's are still using everything they can to take little digs and distract from anything that pressures TM into facing some real questions.

Good to see the anti-Corbyn crowd lap it up so they can join in. UK politics is becoming as bad as US politics...

Seriously, why does it matter?

Definitely says stupid woman. He thinks she's being stupid, she's a woman, he says it under his breath and not in her face as an insult so it's nothing.

I really wish May when asked about it said that she wouldn't be fussed at all by what he mutters under his breath, rather than making a point about how men in the chamber should address women. She hurls all sorts of insults, and clearly women aren't having too much of a hard time if she's the PM for god's sake.

dunno, looks like people to me *shrug*

After rewatching it a few times it is a bit like this thing https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5pRY3wlKwm8 as in your perception of what you think he says changes depending on what you think before - first time it was definitely women when I hadn't seen it before but then watching it again wondering if it was people it appeared like people and so on.

This stuff reminds me of 'Allo 'Allo where Rene would use the "you stupid woman" line to his wife line whenever caught snogging the waitresses. i.e. a diversionary tactic from his own guilt.

The debates in GD are more mature than the childish behaviour that seems to go on in Parliament, what an embarrassment.

He needs to go, whether he said woman or people is irrelevant; he's consistently allowed the Tories a way out of being held accountable in parliament because he has become so tarnished over the past few years.

I've a lot of time for his policies and vision of public services etc. but I think they would be better served with someone else in charge.

This must be the first and probably last time Corbyn has said something I agree with :D

I'd have had a lot more respect for him if it had been a proper stand up thump the table stupid comment rather than muttered under his breath. Also a demonstration that you can't accomplish anything through talk and debate if the other side isn't interested - something he should take onboard but probably won't.
