Looking to replace my current bed frame as its just a basic wooden frame with slates - came with the room.

Everytime i move, it makes a noise. :o

I also have a 27cm high mattress that I am gonna move from the family home. Its currently on a divan and seems fine so maybe just that?

Budget is around 300-400. I don't want something that blocks the "end" of the bed if that makes sense.

Suggestions? :)

I've got one manufactured by "The Big Bed Company" but resold through another company. It's very sturdy, the slats are floorboards (145mm wide, 18mm deep, king size width).

Not cheap though, tbh for your budget 'sturdy' is unlikely. I think if you want to only spend that much you have 2 options: second hand or building your own out of wood.

I just spent £500 on a bed from Ikea. I built it right but it ain't sturdy! As Mason says, maybe a good second hand one is worth looking for.

I got the scandi style John Lewis one. Maximizes floor space like a divan but has an open bottom for storage.
