stutter and lag with sli setup

1015mb is less than the 1024mb on the card

My mate's running a 480 and playing BF4 100% fine.
It's not much of an upgrade, but selling 1 560 should cover the cost of the 480. The 1.5gb VRAM should give you some bounce room if that happens to be the problem.

Does lowering your resolution cure the stuttering, as it will lower VRAM requirements.

Doesn't matter, there will be swap out occurring way larger than that difference lol. It never fully bloats the frame buffer :)

Do you possibly think that something else could be at play here? Maybe the games are too demanding for his setup or his CPU isn't good enough for games like Bioshock/BF4/COD Ghosts?

I looked at the benchs for SLI 560s and they are not great and couple that with his CPU and I can see problems in other newer games.

@OP - Maybe look to overhaul your CPU as well as your GPUs?

This 100%. 1gb of vrams not doing you any favours at all.

To be fair though even on 780 sli, COD ghosts ran like poo for me and I ended up playing on one card and Bioshock had that weird hitching thing going on when it was released. BF4 ran like butter once I disabled core parking though

Ok so the 560's are now sold and a Sapphire HD 7950 Flex Edition is on its way. So hopefully its problem solved.

well the 7950 is in and im really happy with it, bf4 is silky smooth on ultra. so glad i ditched the 560s now. now if i go crossfire in future will the psu im using be ok? its a corsair cx750m.

Good lad. I hope you're using Mantle and the 14.7 drivers? :)

Should be ok, but your FX6300 would definitely be holding them back in games that don't support Mantle.

If I were you, I'd forget about crossfire...and the next time I'd upgrade would be a full platform (CPU and motherboard) and to another much faster single GPU card.

Yes I'm using mantle and the 14.7 drivers. I'll look into upgrading the CPU and mobo for future but if a hd7950 comes up cheap then I'll grab it. The fx6300 was at 60% while I was on bf4.

Good to hear. If you have any problems at all, give me a shout. :)

Mantle >> Nvidia DX. #DifferentGravy

OK so I switched the BIOS to 2 and noe the default clock is 1025mhz and unstable. In trixx the vddc is 1112, but when I bump the voltage up I get artifacts. Surely its not the right BIOS is it?
