Stuttering after new GPU?

Hi,

My missus is using my old desktop which the GPU died and I got recommend to put a GTX 260 in, its a old machine now.. But shes only does light gaming and work on it.

After putting it in, I unistalled old drivers, and installed new ones rebooting as required. But now its stuttering? Move the mouse and it will freeze for split second then work, its constantly? And machine just seems REALLY slow?! Maybe something to do with it freezing constantly? I have no idea, and I don't really want to re-install windows and start fresh.

Not sure if its GPU sided or general fault somewhere in windows?

Could you post up the rest of the specs of the machine. And what was the previous card, amd or another nvidia model?

4GB GIEL DDR2 RAM
500W PSU
DEAD - Zotac GeForce 9800 GT AMP Edition, 512mb DDR3.

Fixed now, Strangley the Wireless card was effecting it.. It somehow lost signal and PC worked fine, updated the driver and its perfectly fine now!
