Stutters Spikes and Freezing

Hi all,
I am in need of some help with a problem I've had for over 12 months ever since I built my computer.
It was built for the sole purpose of running flight simulator X
These are my specs,

Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD5 Motherboard.
Intel core i7 920 D0 Stepping CPU
Corsair 6gb (3x2gb) 2,000MHz Memory
Cooler Master V10 Hybrid TEC Cooler
2 x Western Digital Velociraptor 150GB 10,000rpm Hard Drive and 1x 300GB Western Digital Velociraptor
Asus ENGTX285
CoolerMaster Real Power 1250w Power Supply

Now as far as I can see this should kick some ass as far as FSX is concerned "WRONG" It is absolute CRAP, I get Stutters, Spiking and total freeze ups.
I am convinced it is hardware related as I know I have the flight sim set up properly, it is worse when I have the autogen on so I do leave this off but it still stutters and freezes the only thing the autogen helps with is the spiking.
I thought I had found the problem a few weeks ago when I sent my CPU and MEMORY back to where I bought it from for testing and it was found that the memory was faulty when being used under heavy load, great I thought that's it problem solved, so when the replacement arrived I could not Waite to get it back in and fired up but low and behold it was exactly the same ( the CPU tested O,K by the way )
So can some one please point me in the right direction and give me some idea where I should be looking I mean this computer has cost me some serious money to build and I've got to say it's almost unusable.
Thanks and kind regards Kevin.

it could be ethoir the RAM or mobo, its possible that you got another duff stick/set or it could be your mobo casuing it to be duff

you got the voltage set right in the BIOS for the RAM?

Could be a fair few things, faulty PSU, memory, graphics card, drivers, temps, voltages.

First thing to check is if it is just Flight Sim X. Download and Run HW Monitor from here: http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html and 3DMark Vantage from here: http://www.futuremark.com/benchmarks/3dmarkvantage/download/. Run HW Monitor in the background and then 3DMark Vantage and see how it runs, let us know the score. Also post a screenshot of the voltages and temps after a few runs.

Also a good idea to get UBCD (http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/) and run Memtest 86+ to see if it pulls up any errors.

At the momment the memory is out and packed up ready to go back for testing again so I can't do anything until that's back.
I never gave the mobo a thought is there any way of testing this without ripping it all out.
I dont think it's the graphics card because I have tested with another in and it was the same.
Cheers kev.
P.S I cannot run memtest as I'm using 64bit OS.

Run Memtest86 from DOS, UBCD is a bootable CD with loads of testing software on it.

No point sending the memory back when you can test it yourself. It is often the case that it isn't getting enough volts as motherboards often under report the voltage being provided.

You might as well give it a shot, you can't post it until Tuesday anyways.
