stutters

Hi all,

I have a strange problem when playing games for instance when playing HL2 at the load scenes it takes ages to follow thru, roughly 3mins approx.

Also even in other games like cs1.6 it pauses and the music stutters for about 5 secs.

Any ideas what could be the problem? Only 512 ram

Truthfully, the ram could be a slight problem.. but it could be other things. Have you installed all drivers for windows, motherboard drivers... directx 9.c and so on?

I have noticed that my CS zero regularly stutters when I join a server for about 10 seconds, and then after that is fine. Does not do it to any other games, try install something else to see if the same happens. Or 3d mark if you dont have another game.

thats the thing 3d mark runs completely smooth, no hick ups or nout :|

Is the system Prime95 stable?
Or did you test the overclock with another program?

- How much (many?) proccesses are running before playing a game?
- System restore disabled?
- Indexing service disabled?
- Other crap running in the background?

You obviously didnt have the extra hot chicken from nando's then mate!

really though -memory might be a problem but check on device manager under hard drive controllers and make sure it says UDMA 5 for the primary drive. Mine was running in PIO mode for a while which was painfully annoying as it was very slow
