Recently, my computer has just started acting weird.
It doesn't seem to like doing more than one thing at a time, like when watching a video the audio will be "stuttery" like it's trying to buffer - even though the video file is local!
It also doesn't like playing music and doing something else, as the music will start to become stuttery and drag out for a while.
Things got so bad that, thinking it was Windows being Windows - I installed a fresh install of Windows to a seperate partition. After downloading and installing the latest drivers, I'm having pretty much the same issue again.
This is very worrying as like I say, it's a fresh install with few programs (aside from the usual anti-virus[Avast!] and firewall [Zonealarm]).
I've had RAM problems in the past, so thinking it was that I ran MemTest86+ and that returned no errors.
The latest bit of hardware to go in there is a Western Digital 640GB single plattter, though that's been in since mid-January and the problem has only just started...
I was rather thinking it could be the cable or connection somehow, as I had a "NTDR is missing" error the other day, and after ensuring the SATA cables were properly in - it seemed to work again.

CPU: Intel P4 3.2GHz (Northwood)
RAM: 2GB Corsair (DDR)
Graphics: XFX Geforce 7800 GT "Extreme LED Edition"
Windows: XP, working my way through the Service Packs hoping that will fix the problem.
