Stylish, small, yet not compact, wired or wireless keyboard

I've been using my Microsoft Digital Media Keyboard 1.0A since the dawn of time, and its grot. Manky, old, yuk. Horrible.

I'm after something without the number pad, that's also wireless, yet not a squished compact keyboard like the Apple one. I've also go no interest in mechanical keys or flashing lights or a billion programmable macros.

Basically, what I would love, is the keyboard part of the Razer Turret on its own, with some extendible feet. But I can't find anything like it :(

Any suggestions?

Yeah, and they all seem to be mechanical too which is a world I've no need to enter.

Mechanical keyboards are the way to go if you want a decent typing experience. I can highly recommend the Filco keyboards maybe with Cherry MX blue switches if you do a lot of typing. If you mainly game then I've heard red or brown switches are the best.

They are basic keyboards with no stupid lights or macros. They are just extremely well made and the best typing experience you can get. You could literally knock someone out if you hit them with this keyboard it is so well made.

They also do tenkeyless models.

I'm not a heavy user or hardcore gamer, so I've no need to spend the extra money a mechanical keyboard costs. Thinking about it, the reason I want wireless is mainly so I can move it out the way easily. When using it it doesn't really matter if its plugged in. So in that case a wired keyboard with a detachable cable would also work, which gives me more options.

So expanding my search to include removable wired keyboards means I quite like the CM Storm QuickFire Rapids. However there appears to be a billion different version and key types with varying availability in the UK :(
