At the mo i have a 7800gtx performance was good when new now starting get i bit old, I was never really that happy with the IQ, came from a 9500pro the IQ on that was great.

Now im looking at going quad core 6600 so it about time to get a new card.

IQ is probably more important to me than absolute performance

£205 nets you one of the nice new 512MB G92 GTS cards. :)

Absolutely agree.

No point faffing around getting a cheaper GT and then buying & changing the cooler, when you can spend just a little more and get a GTS which already comes with a better cooler.

Moved from a HD2900XT to a GTS and dont regret it one bit.

All this accelero crap really isn't unnecessary on a GT anymore if you buy one with the new standard cooler/a pre-fitted custom cooler. Leadtek do one non-overclocked with the new standard cooler (which i have - it runs cool and quiet overclocked) and a preoverclocked one with a custom zalman heat sink.

yeah go for the BFG, have one here and don't regret it at all, overclocked well and runs everything (bar crysis) perfectly

For that price I would get the GTS, looks like they are starting to drop allready for whats coming round the corner ;).

go for the 8800GTS, running 800 core, 2000 shaders, 2000 memory on stock cooling 55%, no overheating or nothing

I'm surprised that no one said 3850 512MB Crossfire, they can be had for £105 each if you know where to look and would offer great performance :p

PS. How do you send private messages?

[edit} Never mind, figured out you can't :P
