Sub-£400 digital camera for my parents

Hi all,

My parents currently use an iPad for all their photo needs; which never really bothered my until they brought it to my wedding (and took about 6 reasonable quality shots) - as such I thought it would be good to get them an easy to use camera which takes good quality pictures and will take minimal getting used to.

Would something like a Panasonic TZ40 be an option, do you think?

I just got my hands on a Sony RX100 (version 1) for 349 (with 40 cash back)

I have had little time to play with it but its a GREAT camera for my needs. Seemed to beat most other cameras in reviews/comparisons at the same price range.

They do a version 2 and 3 for more money if that's not an issue.
