You could do various upgrades to keep that under £500 with that spare £21.

For example:
-Swap the 4GB for the hyperX 8GB kit
or
-Get the OcUK 6850, it's £2 cheaper
or
-Get the i3-2120, it's £5 more and has a nice 200mhz or so boost in speed
or
-Get a cheaper case and get the z68ap-d3 as stinger said, it's a lot more future proof as it'll support a 2500k or even an ivybridge upgrade

both good suggestions.

I think the basic spec is sound and depending on requirements and funds available you could make the suggested changes to get a system within £450 to £550.

For a developer upping memory to 8GB is a good suggestion.

Cutting down in other areas to allow an i5 is also something that would give the system a boost.

For a gaming system a graphics card upgrade may be more appropriate.
