sub 6 second car

Basicly I've got a small problem in deciding/choosing a new car. Wonding if you can give me some ideas as I've completely ran out.

The car idealy needs to be 3 door hatchback, maybe a 4 door salon but can't help but think would look like a family car? (Single lad)

After my last car I'm looking for one that does 0-60 in 6 or less seconds?

Mpg I'm not worried to much about as long as its no worse than 10.

An say £7-8000 to play with, and ideas would help a lot

Yeah I've considered these there nice cars.

The impreza I've looked at too, not to sure on it tho looks a bit like a rc car lol.

Running cost I'm not to worried about either, an the reason for sub 6 seconds in the last car was 7secs, 52 sri asta turbo had to go tho it being a vauxhall .

Do this and there is plenty of choice depending on how much fun you want.

had a look at some of these, vx220 many bad things on forums body/paint, elise cool, was more feeling the z4 an s2000.

What cars have you had, and what did you like/dislike about them.

A Mountune'd Focus ST seems to meet all your criteria

so far cars owned have been
1.1 mk3 fiesta (slow)
1.25 mk4 fiesta (also slow)
1.4 sri corsa c (standard vauxhall quality)
2.1zvh in a mk3 fiesta xr2i (would still have it sadly rust got the better of it)
2.0 sri astra turbo (no where near as quick as the xr2i but less rusty)

i have thought about the focus st, but the mk1 focus rs keeps tempting me... it is a rs after all . also they've all been fwd, wouldnt mind some rwd action
