hey im looking at geting a sub and amp for my fiesta. looking to spend around £100 - £150 if can be done that cheap.

was wondering if any1 can shed some light on things, as i dont realy have a clue about any of it.

im not after the most amazing stuff, something to take bass stress from my 6x9 cos they start to make not nice noises when its on loud. i will be upgrading the 6x9s and head unit later to.

also would be great if the place can fit it cos ive no idea about wireing. i ive in wigan, thats in north west near manchester incase u dont no :p

thanks for help.

ok i will have a look on motorworld,

"Oh, and lose the 6x9's and get some components instead"

components

is there much of a diffference between 10" and 12" to justify geting ther 12?

"but you need to buy a wiring kit and sub box too"
i have no idea about wireing up, so would realy like it done at the place.

have seen this cheaper sub its got 600 Watts Max

but this more expensive only is 200

a difference in the performance of these?

2nd part, im going to be geting a new head unit later on. what do i look for when geting one? i normaly go for the 4 X xx and make xx as large as possible. i also want it to take my ipod in some way.

sorry for all question but i have no clue what im looking for here

could one of you kind people maybe quickly pick a sub/amp combo and a head unit to go with it. either motorworld or halford. i would apreciate muchly.

thanks

10" is more punchy and would be good for fast hitting bass like dance music........12" and 15" subs are good for slow low bass like hip hop n that.

i listen to rock and metal music, but i like to have it loud on occasion.

im thinking i should get from halfords as they fit and have a lot more choice but they dont seem to do sub/amp combos.

spec me an amp and sub from halfords plz for £200 max, the less the better

ok ive been looking and found this

click

im told by a friend that its quite good, and all the reviews say its good,

dont realy want front speakers cos i like the music coming from the back, gues i got used to it from my punto,( had crappy front speakers). so if i get some 6x9s and a new headunit, wil i be set?

i got 2 rear speakers but only 1 works so i was gonna replace them with some alpine ones to match he sub/amp wasnt gonna spend much on them cos the sub am and headunit coming to £300

can any1 tell me what im looking for in rear speakers and what price is too cheap for them, im trying to get all from same place to saveon postage(car audio direct)
there are couple of alpine speakers on there

these expensive

these middle

and these cheaper

which you think,

thx

i was thinking of having a stealth shelf type thing, were u mount em to a piece of wood underneed the parcel shelf so u cant see them, the speakers are only covered by the thin cloth on the slef itself.

as i said earlier i dont realy want front speakers, want the noise coming from the rear

yes in my old car i used only the back speakers cos front were crap.

if i get some 6x9s they will be like £40 max.

the car is a fiesta btw.

like i said at the start i have no clue about any of this, if someone said 6x9s and subs will drown each otherout then i wouldnt get them,

so if i get some of them speakes u mentioned should i just get them in the front and have no rear speakers? or get 2 in front 2 in rear?
