Sub Forum request

Is it possible to have a sub forum for basic camera users. My impression of this forum as that it is very much aligned to semi pro users or at least those with a very detailed knowledge of cameras and photography.

I take photos as a record of things rather than the pure artistic or accurate reproduction and most of my posts seem to be derided as I don't use an expensive DSLR.

I have stopped seeking advice on here which is sad because OCUK is a huge source of information.

Just create a thread and ask. Most people are more than happy to help, and the forum is actually pretty good at answering 'stupid' questions without looking down on people, and giving basic advice.

Sadly not my experience of the photography lot on here. Particularly as I don't have a DSLR.
