Hello all...

I am currently thinking of changing my sub and wondered if anyone had any suggestions?

1) Budget would be around £2,500 (give or take a few quid)
2) Room size is approx 6m x 7m
3) Current sub is an M&K V125, which gives a reasonable punch, but seems a bit small in the current room
4) Speakers are B&W 803S (front), B&W HTM3 (centre) and B&W CDM 1NT SE's (rears)
5) Would two subs be better than one?
6) I am looking for a sub that goes low, but is quick and punchy. Have had some subs in the past which just arent quick enough...
7) Not too fussed if its forward or down firing, but would prefer forward

Cheers
Guy

Irrelevent. Bass is omni directional.

oh my sub outperforms MX-350 Mk II.

Not entirely sure I agree with you, I have always found that forward firing subs to be better for movies (more air movement and percieved "slam") and down firing to be better for music (better air dispersal and punch)... but these are purely my own thoughts.

Cheers for the SVS link, it's not a brand I am overly familiar with and certainly one I will try and have a look at. The SVS PB12-Plus/2 looks to do the job.
