Probably not of interest to many here, but for those that may be interested:

I went to Japan earlier this year and kept meaning to post a thread of what I saw. So I thought I'd start with what I saw first:

The Subaru Building, as found in Shinjuku, Tokyo.

It is located over the road from the Shinjuku trainstation. I found it by accident when I went roaming as the wife had asked me to check out if Shinjuku looked good for shopping.

Video of the "tour"

There's not a lot to really look at in there, but if you're over in Tokyo, it is so easy to find I just recommend popping in to have a look whilst on your way somewhere else.

Anyway some pictures and video:

They had a cutaway of the DIT engine and CVT transmission on display. Video below:

Came away with a goodie bag :D

I'll be trying to get the next place I went to up soon.

Thanks for looking!

I went to Japan a few years back and loved the place. We stayed at the Washington Hotel in Shinjuku visiting the surrounding areas. Harijuku was a favorite of mine as was the Toyota Mega Web. Did you visit that at all?

Yes, I went to MegaWeb, went to the Super Auto Bacs in Tokyo Bay also. Went to various other Subaru places. I very much saw the car scene over there that's for sure :D

I'll be posting pics of MegaWeb and the rest soon once I've sorted them out.

Awesome pics. I'd love to go to Japan sometime.

Only issue, you load this page and see the top of the Mode Hal Iko building and are like "Wow, Subaru have a nice building!". Then you scroll down and are like "Oh." :D :p

Before I scrolled down I already had prepped a: "I expected Subaru to have a building wider than it is tall" joke. Next time maybe ;)

Was also going to post a Mitsubishi Motors building in response until I saw how pony they are :(

All for the effect ;) Yeah it's not a spectacular building is it? I thought it was cool that they have a building that I found randomly though!

Tha'ts a way more sensible place to put the turbo on that new engine

Definitely. I imagine that the response on the new DIT engines will be much much better. Especially seeing how the turbo converted BRZs are getting on with the turbo in a similar position.

Thanks for looking all, more to come soon once I've got more time to sort.
