ok, so its my birthday soon and i wonna get something for my car so im thinking of getting a sub but my car has little room in the back so i was thinking about mounting one in a stealth shelf thing but i have heard that free air subs arent as good as boxed and that you need a specific type of sub that can work best in a free air situation.

anyone got any advice/links regarding free air subs and fitting one to a parcel shelf?

so is it not really possible to stick subs into the shelf in a 6x9 style?

i have seen some 6x9 subs that pioneer make on car audio direct but seem pretty weak

What you could try is one of the stelth box type ideas?
They are the sub boxes which run along the side of the boot? uses up dead space for a lot of it and dont encroatch into the boot that much, its a lot less intrusive than a conventional Sub box.

have seen these but having just checked the price they cost 160 alone, before delivery AND excluding VAT
