I have just moved my subwoofer from under my desk in order to have leg room and its now on the floor next to my pc case and touching it.

Is this a problem? I thought the vibrations might not be good for the hardware inside the case.

Thanks :D

It could possibly effect the mechanical drive lifespan but that would be a huge volume levels. What kind of subwoofer is it? Assuming it's shielded it should be fine.

It probably wont help the longevity of:

Your hard drives
Any vibration sensitive electronic components (as in some of them will be)
Your thermal couplings, i.e. wherever you have anything connected to anything else for the purpose of heat transfer... you know like your CPU to heatsink etc...

Maybe move it away a little :)

Then again, it depends how loud you crank it up. A quiet subwoofer right next you your case is probably less bad than a monster sub in the same room a few feet away crankin' out meaty beats. :P
