Hey guys. I'm in need of some advice, so I thought I'd ask here.
Over the last couple of months I've been buying bits and bobs for a new system. A three weeks ago I bought the main bulk of bits, and over the last two weekends I've put it together. And to my shock and amazement it actually works, well, after a small panick because the GPU wasn't seated properly, it works. To my surprize because apart from swopping a case on an old system I've never really done anything like this before.

All I've done so far is install Windows7 onto the ssd (using the raid option in BIOS, because I'd like to try a raid0 on my two hdd's, just because I've never had one before). Windows has done its thing and updated and I've intalled some drivers to clear the conflicts in device manager.
As far as I can tell everyting seems to be working OK. CPU and case fans are spinning. SSD and HDD's are working, although 1TB is actually 937GB. CPU and RAM are correct speeds and size.

My question now is what to do next and in what order?

System Specs are in my sig(if I've set it up right.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Thought about upgrading your monitor, sound system, M&KB? (Obviously I don't know what you have at the moment in regards to these :p). As for the HDD showing as 937GB is because the way they work out the amount of storage is different on a computer to how the manufacturers do it or something along those lines.

Ahhh I think theres a a small misunderstanding here. I dont mean what next to upgrade I mean what next to do to my system, because this is my first all new system I'm not too sure as to whats next.

Should I DL some Utils to make sure everything is working as it should be. DL some stress testers and makae sure theres no problems or can I just go straight into installing games and things?

As for the f3's and raiding them, that is the plan, but again I'm kinda thinking theres gotta be more to it than just setting them up in the raid screen to a raid0 and click OK. Or is it that easy?

download
Prime 95
Cpu-z
CPUID- HW monitor
Heaven dx11 benchmark
GPU-z
some form of anti-virus/ spyware removal etc

read an overclocking guide for that motherboard and overclock the cpu?
Use prime 95 blend test to check stability
use others to chek temps/vcore etc

Post Pics of your rigs, we all like new pc eye candy :D

Check your ram is running at right speed my xms3 ram was running at 1333mhz but had to cahnge it in bios to run at 1600mhz speed.(not a bigggie but nice to have stuff run at the speed it should :p )

stand around in awe at your amazing computer building prowess :)

Have you installed chipset drivers off mobo disc + lan & audio ect.
If so, i then install antivirus program, & gfx driver. Then get all my windows updates.

Just off to work so I'll have a go tomorrow, as for the pic here goes , just remember its my first go.

For saying that's your first build, you have done a very good job.

One thing i would suggest though is to reroute the 8 pin cpu cable to grt it away from the top fan. Is there not a hole in the top left of the case for it to go through.

Once again well done on a good clean build. :)
